As an Author
- My freshman year in college I came to the conclusion in English composition that whatever I might do for the Lord, writing would not be part of that plan. I simply never seemed to write in a way that impressed my professor. Years later, in my first year of PhD work I prepared a paper on Augustine. I marveled at the power of his pen and the impact of his writings from his Confessions to his apologetic works. Like Frodo’s travels I have since been on a quest to learn how better to communicate through the written word. From those days as an insecure freshman the Lord has led me on quite a venture in the realm of literature. I have much yet to learn, but what I write I offer in hopes it will inspire you to a life of radical obedience to Jesus.
Introduction to Evangelism is widely used in evangelical schools as an introductory textbook. Pastors also have used it as a more in depth way to teach evangelism in their church than a simple program.
Firefall, written by more former prof Malcolm McDow and me, is a history of evangelical awakenings from Scripture to now. It has been used in schools and churches to teach and inspire believers in the area of spiritual awakenings. Available from Pleasant Word Publishers.Check out my blog.
